I love your eye for history, and how you imagine these scenes from the past and put them to paper. The beautiful complementary colors really catch my eye in this. The brilliant yellow dress which you have picked up gently in the background, all set off by the rich, deep blue/purples. Bravo! like/f

Thank you very much indeed Anne for your lovely comments, I painted for 30 years from reference material until one day I tried working from imagination and never gone back to copying as it is so boring by comparison. I have to use reference material for cars and similarly detailed things of course where necessary. Much appreciated Anne!
