Description
My watercolour painting of that quintessential English village green in Edwardian times complete with a cricket match denoting a more relaxed and slower pace of life.
The cricketers wives decided to have a picnic and a good long natter while enjoying their food and occasionally watching the match!
The background was inspired by my recent walk in Priory Park, Prittlewell, Essex for the lovely trees and with St Mary's Church Prittlewell just visible beyond. Otherwise all from imagination.
