The high tide calmly rolls in near the Nubble Light in Cape Neddick, Maine. There are times the waters near the Nubble can be tumultuous and awe-inspiring. Then other times, the water is so calm, you can imagine just swimming across to the lighthouse. This morning was one of those times. The sun rose, creating understated color in the skies while the Atlantic ocean lapped gently at the rocky shoreline, the violent pounding that occurred the previous week, nothing more than a memory.
