Description
The light fades at dusk on Lookout Point in Harpswell, Maine. Lookout Point sits halfway down Haprswell Neck, and is home to a working harbor, Allen's Seafood restaurant, and the Lookout Point public boat launch. The two islands visible from the point are called Joe and George, after the Curtis Brothers, whose family owned the shipyard once located here.
I came across Lookout Point while exploring the area for sunrise and sunset locations. While there's not a lot of interest for landscape, I did like the two islands and was able to see that the sun would set between the two islands on the day I planned to return. Mother Nature cooperated nicely and put on a little show.
